Escape to the stunning Channel Island of Jersey for a fantastic three-night autumn break and enjoy two evenings of Gilbert and Sullivan with principals from the National G&S Opera Company – The Pirates of Penzance and HMS Pinafore. With breathtaking coastal scenery and a rich history, Jersey is the ideal destination for a relaxing yet inspiring getaway.

It really doesn’t get much better than that!

They will star in semi-staged performances of these Gilbert & Sullivan favourites on Friday and Saturday at the Jersey College for Girls Theatre in St Helier, accompanied by a chorus from the Jersey Gilbert & Sullivan Society.

Our base is the delightful Radisson Waterfront Hotel, perfectly situated in the heart of St Helier’s marina and ideal for exploring the island.

We have a wonderful itinerary planned, showcasing many of Jersey’s magical treasures through guided tours. It’s the perfect combination of relaxation, exploration, and outstanding entertainment on this beautiful island.

Itinerary

15 October 2026

Guests arrive and enjoy a welcome wine reception before dinner.

16 October 2026

After breakfast, we embark on a guided coach tour of the island, including a view across to the 17th-century Elizabeth Castle. Our next stop is the delightful fishing village of St Aubin, where we’ll hear stories of smugglers and piracy.

Our tour continues with a visit to Noirmont Point, once held by German occupying forces and still home to imposing gun bunkers and observation towers. We then head to St Brelade’s Bay and discover the hidden path to the churchyard of its beautiful 11th-century church.

We enjoy a light lunch overlooking the bay, before continuing to Corbière Phare, a striking lighthouse set on a tidal island. The surrounding headland is dotted with German fortifications, and your guide will bring their stories to life. Weather permitting, we may also cross the causeway to the lighthouse, one of Jersey’s most photographed landmarks.

We return to St Helier via the scenic west and north coasts, taking in the island’s rural beauty before arriving back at the hotel.

A wine reception will be followed by dinner and a short taxi transfer to the evening performance. Performance: The Pirates of Penzance

17 October 2026

After breakfast, we enjoy a leisurely morning exploring the museums of St Helier and Jersey Opera House, followed by a guided stroll through the historic town.

You will then have free time to explore before the wine reception, dinner, and our evening performance. Performance: HMS Pinafore

18 October 2026

After a final breakfast, we begin our journey home.
