We are delighted to announce a fabulous mini-break to the picturesque island of Guernsey, nestled in the Channel Islands. Renowned for its stunning coastline, rich history, and unique blend of British and French influences, Guernsey offers a truly enchanting escape.

We will stay at the delightful Moores Hotel, ideally located in the heart of St Peter Port, the capital, and just minutes from the charming marinas and scenic seafront. Highly recommended, this hotel promises guests a warm welcome, comfortable rooms, and excellent dining.

Guernsey is a treasure trove for history lovers, with its wartime occupation leaving a lasting mark through tunnels and fortifications just waiting to be explored.

Our holiday includes a visit to see HMS Pinafore at The Princess Royal Centre for the Performing Arts. The principal roles will be performed by our National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company singers, while a local society will provide the chorus. And, of course, guests will enjoy evening entertainment at the hotel after dinner on two nights.

Guests are welcome to check in at the hotel from 1:00 p.m. We will all get together in the bar for a welcome drink from 6:30 p.m., before dinner at 7:30 p.m. Performance: Our professional soloists entertain at the hotel

After breakfast, we embark on a guided coach tour of the island, discovering some of Guernsey’s hidden treasures. This includes a visit to the underground German hospital, built in 1941 during the island’s occupation in the Second World War. There will also be an opportunity to see the famous “Little Chapel”. We will then enjoy lunch at Golf 19, part of the St Pierre Park Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort. Following lunch, we will depart to the fascinating German Occupation Museum before heading back to the hotel.

Following breakfast, we take a guided walking tour of St Peter Port. Lunch is back at the hotel before we head out for another fantastic tour, including a visit to Castle Cornet and a private talk about the island’s history.
In the evening, we will have an early dinner before departing for the theatre to watch HMS Pinafore.

We enjoy a final breakfast in the hotel, before making our onward journey home. Check-out is at 11:00 a.m. Performance: No concert tonight - we say farewell until next time!

HMS Pinafore

Fresh from their appearance at the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in Buxton, principals from the National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company, supported by a local choir, will perform HMS Pinafore. A hilarious production with tunes you will be humming all the way home.
